The works begin with a simple conviction: the body responds to what surrounds it and what it is made from.
The natural world is astonishing in its complexity and beauty, and we are losing it fast. To work with its oldest materials,
without shortcuts, is a way of paying attention. A way of staying close to matter, place and the living world.
